The 6s are easy when you see the tricks!
This is the best part! You can solve the first five problems using tables you've already learned.
6 x 1 is the same as 1 x 6 = 6
6 x 2 is the same as 2 x 6 = 12 (just double 6!)
6 x 3 is the same as 3 x 6 = 18
6 x 4 is the same as 4 x 6 = 24 (double double 6!)
6 x 5 is the same as 5 x 6 = 30 (you know your 5s!)
For the bigger numbers, you have a calculator on your hands! First, number your fingers like this:
Thumb=6, Index=7, Middle=8, Ring=9
Let's solve 6 x 8:
1. Touch the Fingers:
Touch your '6' finger (thumb) on one hand to your '8' finger (middle) on the other.

2. Count the Tens:
Count the touching fingers and all fingers below them. You have 4 fingers in this group. Each one is worth 10. That's 40.

3. Multiply the Ones:
Count the fingers *above* the touching point on each hand. You have 4 fingers on the left and 2 on the right. Multiply them: 4 x 2 = 8.

4. Add Them Up:
Add your tens and ones together: 40 + 8 = 48. So, 6 x 8 = 48!
This is a magical pattern! When you multiply 6 by any **even number**, the answer ends with that same even number.
6 x 2 = 12
6 x 4 = 24
6 x 6 = 36
6 x 8 = 48
If you know your 5s table, the 6s are easy! Just take the answer from the 5s and add one more group.
How to solve 6 x 7?
First, think of 5 x 7 = 35.
Then, just add 7 more!
35 + 7 = 42
